Gabriel Jesus gives verdict on Liverpool FC ace Mohamed Salah and Man City teammate Riyad Mahrez

Gabriel Jesus has given his verdict on Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah and his Manchester City teammate Riyad Mahrez while on international duty with Brazil.

The Man City striker was called up for his country for the recent international friendlies against fierce rivals Argentina and South Korea.

Brazil were under pressure after going six games without a win prior to the fixture against South Korea where they secured a 3-0 win.

Jesus came head to head with Salah during City's defeat against Liverpool prior to the break but heaped praise on the Egypt international as well as his African teammate Mahrez.

"Salah has shown his quality in the last two seasons, he has scored a lot," he told The National Sport.

"I don’t train with him, but I know he is quality. I do train with Riyad [Mahrez].

"He is one of the most technical players I have played with; his first touch is amazing.

"An amazing player that showed the world how good he is at Leicester [City] and is now playing well for us, scoring goals and making assists all the time."

Jesus was also questioned on Tottenham star Son Heung-min, a player he faced during their latest win.

He said: "I know Son, I have played a few times against him.

"He’s a good player, technically amazing and great at finishing. We don’t just have to stop him - every player is dangerous."
