Gabriel Magalhaes' agent has reportedly confirmed both Everton and Napoli have made offers for his client.
Marcel Brands and Everton had made progress in their pursuit of the Lille defender before the suspension of matches due to coronavirus in March but the shifting financial landscape means that future negotiations will be much different for a player who was valued at £30m.
Magalhaes' representative Fernando Garcia believes a decision could be made on the 22-year-old as early as this week.
“Everton made a proposal to Lille at first, while Napoli made it later," Garcia is reported as telling Area Napoli and translated by Sport Witness.
"Gabriel likes Napoli as a club and Gennaro Gattuso as a coach.

“We are waiting for Lille to let us know if they intend to continue [with Gabriel]. [The decision could come] in a few days, but in reality, I can’t say when exactly."
