Gabe Vincent almost forced a turnover with his loose shoe during Game 6 of Heat-Celtics

Miami Heat guard Gabe Vincent found an incredibly creative way to try and force a turnover during his team’s latest Eastern Conference finals bout with the Boston Celtics.

At some point in Game 6’s second half, Vincent lost his shoe and picked it up during gameplay. As he was guarding Celtics guard Derrick White, Vincent went so far as to try and use his loose shoe to spark a steal.

“The shoe did it!” TNT broadcaster Kevin Harlan hilariously exclaimed about Vincent as he tried to make one of the funniest turnovers in NBA history.

While this isn’t necessarily routine in basketball, it’s quite a way to respond after losing your shoe on the court.

Losing your shoe during an NBA playoffs game is never an ideal situation to find yourself in, but all credit goes to Vincent for his clever response.

You can’t draw the play up quite like this, but you can bet that NBA players will be taking notes the next time one of their shoes pops off during a game.
