Police are searching a wildlife reserve for the fiancé for missing woman Gabby Petito.
Brian Laundrie returned to Florida alone after a 'van life' trip with 22-year-old Ms Petito across the south-west of America.
Mr Laundrie, who has been named as a 'person of interest' in her disappearance, has vanished since his return home.
The FBI are now searching for Ms Petito in the Grand Teton national park in Wyoming, while police look for Mr Laundrie in the Carlton Reserve in Florida.
However, a lawyer representing Ms Petito's family said 'Brian is not missing, he is hiding'.
Police are using drones, sniffer dogs and all-terrain vehicles in a bid to find Ms Petito's fiancé, the Guardian reports.
His family said they believe the 23-year-old entered the area earlier this week.

The FBI are searching the Grand Teton national park as this was the last known place Ms Petito contacted her family from.
It comes after Ms Petito's best friend claimed she had 'problematic' relationship with Mr Laundrie.
Rose Davis said he allegedly hid Ms Petito's ID so she couldn't meet up with her at a bar, trigging a violent episode similar to the one police investigated weeks before her disappearance.
"Brian took her ID just so she wouldn't be able to come out with me," she told DailyMail on Friday.
"He's got these jealousy issues and he struggles from what Gabby called these 'episodes' where he would hear things and hear voices and wouldn't sleep.

'"Gabby had to stay at my house a bunch of times because she just needed a breather and didn't want to go home to him."
Mr Laundrie's family reached out to police through an attorney and the two sides had a conversation on Friday evening, reports say.
Police said the investigation is a 'multiple missing persons' case.
However, Richard B Stafford, an attorney for Ms Petito's family, responded: "All of Gabby’s family want the world to know that Brian is not missing, he is hiding. Gabby is missing."
It comes after police released bodycam footage showing a distressed Ms Petito - who has been missing since August - a month before she was reported missing.

The almost hour-long video, released today, was recorded four weeks before Ms Petito was reported missing.
Moab City Police Department was called on August 12 and are seen separating the 22-year-old and Mr Laundrie.
Footage shows officers interviewing the pair, who reportedly fought before a witness called 911 over concerns for the couple.
It was alleged Ms Petito slapped Mr Laundrie because she feared he was going to drive off without her after an argument.
Police kept the couple apart for the night but Mr Laundrie did not want to pursue a domestic violence charge against Ms Petito.
