Gabby Logan apologises for BBC's 'woeful' coverage of Wales v Turkey Euro 2020 match

BBC presenter Gabby Logan apologised to Euro 2020 viewers for the broadcaster's coverage of Wales' win over Turkey.

Technical issues blighted the first half of the fixture in Baku, which Wales eventually won 2-0 thanks to goals from Aaron Ramsey and Connor Roberts.

Fans were left frustrated when the camera feed was interrupted on a number of occasions, freezing, stuttering and cutting out while the audio was out of sync with the on-field action on occasion.

Commentator Steve Wilson had apologised to viewers at one stage at the start of the half-time period, while Logan did the same from the studio.

She said: "Wherever you're from I think you'd agree it was a great half of football, but we have to apologise.

"Of course, Steve explained these pictures come from Uefa’s headquarters. They control the feeds. Obviously there was some technical issues going on in that."

The issues had provoked criticism online from fans, including English comedian David Baddi.

Wales' result almost certainly means Rob Page's side have booked their place in the last-16 of the European Championship, with his side now boasting four points in Group C.

Wales' final group stage match is on Sunday against Italy in Rome.
