GAA ticket frenzy as thousands of Dublin and Mayo fans scramble for All-Ireland semi-final general sale

GAA fans face an anxious wait as they look to secure golden tickets for Dublin and Mayo's All-Ireland semi-final clash.

The rivals face off at Croke Park on Saturday evening, with 24,000 permitted to attend the crucial Sam Maguire clash.

And with the GAA first allocating tickets to clubs and season ticket holders, fans have flocked to the GAA's Ticketmaster outlet in their droves since early Monday morning in hope of getting their hands on a ticket.

Reports have emerged today that a limited number of tickets will be available this afternoon or Wednesday morning, however fans on social media have reported queues of up to 10,000 at times.

And some fans have been left disappointed after waiting hours in queue only to find out that no tickets are yet available.

Roscommon and Offaly fans have also reported issues as they seek to secure tickets for the U20 All-Ireland football final pinned for Sunday afternoon.

Cork and Meath's clash in the All-Ireland Ladies Football Championship semi-final has also been switched to Croke Park on Sunday and will follow the U20 decider.
