GAA pre-season competitions will return in 2022 it has been announced.
In what has been a disjointed couple of years due to Covid-19, we will see the return of provincial pre season tournaments.
Collective training can also resume on December 8.
Emergency Powers have also been extended until the end of the year.
It was also announced that 2022 Congress will take place at the Connacht GAA Dome in Mayo.
The GAA also said in a statement: "Ard Chomhairle agreed to submit Motions to Congress 2022 on foot of proposals from the Standing Committee on Playing Rules, the sliotar workgroup and Games
"Development Committee and also approved a Motion to allow another player to join the captain for acceptance of the trophy on behalf of the team."
