GAA legend Joe Brolly marries podcast host Laurita Blewitt in intimate ceremony

GAA legend and pundit Joe Brolly married Laurita Blewitt in an intimate ceremony on Saturday in Co Mayo.

It's believed over 100 guests attended the bash at a hotel in Ballina including Lauita’s best buddies and podcast co-hosts- Tommy Tiernan and Hector O hEochagain.

Impressionist Conor Moore (Conor’s Sketches) was also in attendance, alongside former Kerry footballer Tomás Ó Sé, former Meath footballer Bernard Flynn and former Dublin manager Pat Gilroy.

Laurita’s hilarious podcast with the two comedians is the most successful in Ireland with over 10 million downloads across the globe.

And the Sunday Independent (who Brolly writes for) say that Brolly’s friend Fr Liam McClarey officiated at the ceremony - with guests moving on to a party at the Knockmore GAA club in Ballina.

The paper add that the pair exchanged vows surrounded by family and friends on the banks of the river Moy, while overlooking views across the river and out to the Wild Atlantic Way.

The outspoken pundit hasn't appeared on the RTE Sunday Game programme since the 2019 All Ireland final, much to the disappointment of viewers.

Since then RTE have said goodbye to his long-time pundit colleagues, the new Meath manager Colm O Rourke, and Kerry legend Pat Spillane who left last week because “he wasn’t enjoying it anymore."

Joe and Laurita have been dating for a couple of years and got engaged last year.

He and his first wife Emma, with whom he has five children, split up several years ago.
