GAA issue update as dressing rooms reopen for fully vaccinated teams

The GAA have updated their guidance on dressing rooms after issuing their latest Covid-19 guidelines.

With winter fast approaching and club championships taking centre stage, the association has confirmed that dressing rooms will be available to use in the Republic - but only for fully vaccinated teams.

However, time in the dressing room and showers has been encouraged to be kept to a minimum and half-time and full-time team talks have been encouraged to be held outside if possible.

In a lengthy statement, the GAA also confirmed that in the case of mixed immunity groups, pods of six will be allowed in dressing rooms at any given time.

In the North, dressing rooms will also be open with no restrictions based on immunity status.

There will now be no longer a requirement for pre-game or session health questionnaires, but a record of attendances is advised to aid contact tracing if required.

Face masks are 'recommended' as the association moves to increase capacity at games to 100% in the coming weeks.

A full breakdown of the guidelines can be found here.
