GAA confirm refereeing panels for this summer's Championships

The refereeing panels for this summer’s Championships have been announced by the GAA.

Like last year, there will be 18 football referees to choose from while there will be 14 spread across the Liam MacCarthy and Joe McDonagh Cups in hurling, four more than last year.

Kildare’s Brendan Cawley and James Molloy of Galway have broken into the football referees’ panel having not been involved in 2018, while there are six newcomers to the hurling roster with Colum Cunning (Antrim), Liam Gordon (Galway), Cathal McAllister (Cork), Rory McGann (Clare), Patrick Murphy (Carlow) and Johnny Ryan (Tipperary) all getting the nod.
