GAA club releases moving video to help those in need during coronavirus crisis

A Belfast GAA club has produced a brilliant video urging anyone struggling in lockdown to reach out for help.

O'Donovan Rossa GAC wanted to reassure people living in isolation that there is support out there, Belfast Live reports.

In the video, players and officials sing a rendition of the Bill Withers classic 'Lean On Me', with the song being introduced by Belfast GP Peter Murphy, who is also a member of the club.

Peter is working on the front line in the fight against coronavirus, at Antrim Area Hospital and at the Covid-19 centre at Beech Hall in Andersonstown.

In his intro the North and West Belfast medic urges anyone struggling at home to "reach out for help".

"You wouldn't be human if you weren't scared at the moment and if you weren't frustrated and if you weren't worried, it's normal to feel that way," he says, adding: "You can lean on me and you can rely on me and you can ask for help along with everybody who has taken part in this video. Everybody is part of the extended Rossa family and the GAA family".
