G7 Summit: Trade frictions dominate talks

US President Donald Trump and his closest allies will try to bridge their differences at the G7 summit on Saturday, before Trump sets off on a mission to make peace with an old enemy.

But there's little hope they'll see eye-to-eye on the big issues of trade, or Trump's suggestion that Russia be re-admitted to their club of nations.
