FWAW’s Will Simpson Was Behind That Tractor In Double Bay & It’s Not What It Seemed

Will Simpson, the loved-up farmer who won Australia’s hearts back on season 12 of Farmer Wants A Wife, has just made one hell of a blunder in Sydney’s luxurious Double Bay.
The confusion began when onlookers reported that the reality TV star parked up the mud-drenched tractor bang in the middle of the most prestigious suburbs Sydney has to offer.
Now, Honda has come forward and claimed the stunt as their own, as a way to tell us city-slickers to stop buying big farm-sized cars to get around suburban streets.
The farmer was even picked up mid-dispute with a (fake?) parking warden by his reality romance and now fiancée, Jess Cova, in her Honda ZR-V to be driven back to the city.
What the heck actually happened?
In case you’ve been living under a rock and somehow managed to miss the eyesore of the week, the tractor was left in Double Bay early Wednesday morning.
It quickly captured onlookers’ attention ‘cos, seriously, how many tractors have you seen on your daily hot girl walk?
Brown Cardigan shared the bizarre incident to its Instagram Story and before long, it had made it to Reddit, with one poster saying, “WTF is going on in Double Bay?”
It was also featured in Miss Double Bay and Monkey Boy Sydney, an account that mocks Aussie stereotypes. Simpson earned himself a “Double Bay cowboy starter pack,” complete with his preferred whip and ideal fit.
If you ask us, this is one occasion when mocking feels well-earned. Why would you bring a tractor to a city street? It’s like when I bought Gucci heels from the op-shop that were two sizes too small. Sure, they looked cute, but I couldn’t move anywhere, and I had nowhere to wear them, so what was the point? If someone started a Reddit thread about me, I would say that’s fair play.
So what’s the big deal with this car?
If you ask Honda, too many people are buying big farm cars they don’t need. So they thought, what better way to show off their solution than with a lost farmer up sh*ts creeks without a city-sized paddle.
After a day of confusing pedestrians, Will finally came to collect his tractor but was stopped by a traffic warden, ticket in hand. He was picked up by his partner Jess in their perfectly sized SUV, so maybe he’s learning a thing or two about choosing the right vehicle.
Let’s just hope there are no tractors in the church car park on their wedding day.
