Undefeated heavyweight Tyson Fury took Deontay Wilder’s best punch and somehow managed to rise from the canvas to earn a shocking draw in a sensational title bout in 2018. Wilder believes he’s in even better condition for Saturday night’s rematch in Las Vegas, and that he’ll drop the “Gypsy King” before the final bell – but many analysts have predicted that Fury will outbox Wilder, and could just as easily earn a decision victory if he can avoid falling to Wilder’s power shots.
The winner on Saturday will take the WBC and lineal heavyweight titles, and one of the greatest heavyweights of all time is picking Wilder to take out Fury. In an appearance on ESPN’s Outside The Lines, four-time heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield backed Wilder, who he believes has improved since the first bout and will make the necessary adjustment to win.
“One thing that Deontay has, he has the punching power, but his skills are getting better. He’s a little bit more patient then he used to be, and I think that because he’s able to make a little bit of an adjustment that he needs to make, I think his chance is just a lot greater because of the power that he has.”
