Fury as Tesco supermarket changes its T&Cs on 10p off fuel deal when you spend £60

Some shoppers trying to save money by using a Tesco fuel deal have been left "furious" due to a change in the supermarket's terms and conditions.

The deal sees a 10p off voucher to use on fuel when they spend £60 or more in store or online - but not everyone has been left happy.

That's because a change in the deal's terms and conditions means the £60 threshold is only met after any discounts or offers have been applied.

So if your shop adds up to £65, but then you apply a £6 Clubcard coupon at the till, you won't get the fuel voucher because your shop total has fallen to £59.

'Furious'

A Tesco spokesperson said: “Our customers still receive their fuel save coupons on a spend of £60 or more, once any other discounts and promotions have been taken into account. This change is included in the terms and conditions of the offer.”

If you shop in-store, your receipt will automatically include a money-off fuel coupon if you spend at least £60.

The deal is available until December 1 and you will have two weeks to redeem the coupon if you get it in store.

Online shoppers will get a fuel coupon when their shopping is delivered. These coupons can be redeemed at any UK Tesco fuel station kiosk until December 15.
