Fury as picture reveals secret ASOS didn't want you to know

It can be difficult ordering clothes online.

They often hang one way on the model, but a completely different way when they arrive.

Sometimes a size up or down will fix the problem but one eagle-eyed shopper has spotted something on the ASOS website which explains a lot.

In one picture of a model wearing a lovely summer dress, clips holding it in place are still visible - perhaps the person in charge of Photoshop left early that day?

Taking to Twitter to share her discovery, user @xronnieanna, said: "Uhmm @ASOS ..think you forgot to edit those clips out".

The Echo reports the tweet was shared with images of a model wear a purple dress, with two large bulldog clips showing. The clips pin the model's outfit in, giving a false impression of how it would really look.

Since the tweet was shared earlier this week it has been retweeted almost 20,000 times and had more than 64,000 likes.

Shoppers have been left confused by the discovery with many begging the retailer to share true images of what its clothing looks like on models, instead on edited versions.

@Maisy_millard said: "Wow, these sorts of things makes girls and even guys feel soo s***e like make the clothes actually fit a normal person and don't clip it so it's a different shape than what it's actually gonna turn up like!

"F*** the edited b/s give us the pictures that show the clothes that fit."

@GemmaLondonLife said: "So when they say 'model wears size...' this means nothing!"

@gabbicuff said: "Literally mind blown"

And, @emxhardy said: "I feel cheated."

One user did offer an explanation other than the retailer hiding how the dress really looks, she said: "It could be because they don't have her size so she is wearing a size too big for her.

"I work in retail and if we don't have the right size clothes for the mannequins we put on a bigger size and clip it like this. I could be wrong tho?"
