Fury as Cineworld cinema SCRAPS popular Tango Ice Blast drinks

Munching on popcorn and sipping on a Tango Ice Blast are part and parcel of the cinema experience for many people.

So it has come as a surprise to some that one popular cinema has decided to scrap Tango Ice Blast and replace it with a new slush drink.

Cineworld has replaced the drink with ICEE, a new frozen beverage that comes in different flavours.

While many will not notice a difference others are outraged.

Tango Ice Blast fans have taken to social media to complain, with some even creating a Facebook group that is petitioning to get them back.

The page has a post reading: "It turns out it's something called Icee that is starting to replace  Tango Ice Blast  at  Cineworld Cinemas  and feedback is it's not good! Let's fight to keep sipping on Tango Ice Blast at Cineworld, sign the petition here -  https://bit.ly/2W7Edbo "

Twitter user @samhaddock22 said: " Cineworld have stopped selling Tango Ice Blast?? Uh ohhh danger ahead"

Another user added: "Cineworld has gotten rid of tango ice blasts and replacing them with a drink called ICEE by vimto. How am I supposed to watch #AvengersEndame without a tango ice blast. @cineworld bring them back"

A Cineworld spokesperson said: "While we’ve had a lot of positive feedback, it’s a shame to hear that some people are disappointed with our decision to introduce ICEE.

"We know how important our customers’ favourite snacks and drinks are to their movie-going experience, and we are pleased to offer the world’s leading frozen beverage brand among a variety of other drink options to ensure customers can enjoy their favourite drink while watching a film.

"We provide a wide range of drink options and customers are also welcome to bring their own non-alcoholic drinks to the cinema."
