Fury as 'Boris the butler' charity monster kidnapped from Scots boozer

Bosses at a Scots pub have appealed for the safe return of a 'kidnapped' Halloween Frankenstein's monster decoration that raises cash for terminally ill kids.

Every year Ye Old Frigate Bar in Aberdeen's city centre brings out Boris the Frankenstien butler for customers to leave money in the tray which is then donated to the CHAS children's hospice charity.

But this year the item has been stolen leaving bar bosses bewildered.

Caroline Reid of the bar said that bringing out Boris was a Halloween tradition at the Granite City boozer and she hoped someone would return him.

She said: "He is still missing which is a real shame as he raises money for the CHAS children's hospice charity.

"We really don't know how we lost him but it seems someone has gone off with him.

"He comes out every Halloween, last year we couldn't do it so we were all looking forward to Boris coming out again- all the customers absolutely love him.

"It's really a Halloween tradition. We're not sure how much money had been raised but I don't think it was a fortune.

"We're really just hoping that whoever took him will have a conscious and bring him back."

Pub bosses have taken to Facebook with their appeal- Boris' safe return.

In a post online they wrote: "Can people look out for Boris our Frankenstein butler who got kidnapped last night.

"We understand a prank but we are a little bar and we miss him and he helps us take in money for children's charities in Aberdeen so we would like to see him returned.

"If you know who took him or have seen him, please return him."
