Further report on man who exposed himself, Perth Sheriff Court hears

A further psychiatric report is to be prepared on a 32-year-old man who exposed himself to two different women while wearing his dressing gown.

Dean McAskill was to have discovered his fate at Perth Sheriff Court last week.

But the assessment prepared on him recommended that further investigations take place.

Sheriff Keith O’Mahony has further deferred sentence until June 25 to identify what specific needs he may have in respect of group - and individual - work that may be required to rehabilitate him.

The court heard the accused was in his High Street flat in Kinross when the first incident took place.

A 55-year-old woman was driving passed in her car on October 12, 2017, when eye contact was made.

He also admitted exposing himself on a second occasion to the same woman - and another female of a similar age - on September 30, 2017, at the same location.

A solicitor for the accused said he was “embarrassed” at his actions but couldn’t explain why he had behaved that way.

McAskill’s name has already been added to the sex offenders’ register and the length of time it stays there will be will be decided next month.

His bail has been continued meantime.
