Ireland has recorded another 1,126 cases of Covid-19.
The number of patients being treated at hospitals nationwide now stands at 123. There are 22 people in intensive care units.
The latest figures were released by the National Public Health Emergency Team on Sunday.
The high case numbers come just hours before indoor dining will be allowed return.
Many bars across the country who have been shut for 497 days will finally be allowed pull the shutters up.
But strict rules are being enforced, with people having to show proof of vaccination or that they have recently recovered from Covid-19.
Businesses will now have to track the details of people’s vaccine or immunity status on one sheet of paper and a second and separate sheet of paper should be kept for 28 days with their name and number for contact tracing.
Customers will have their Covid cert digitally scanned which will prove they are fully vaccinated or recovered from infection at the entrance of a premises.
The official Digital Covid Cert will be the only document accepted.
In addition to this, the same rules to outdoor dining will generally apply - meaning face masks must be worn while using the bathroom and entering or exiting.
There are a maximum of six persons allowed per table - rising to 15 if children under 13 are dining with their parents. Counter service is also banned.
