A shopper recovering from COVID has slammed a major supermarket after he bought a milkshake drink that turned out to be five weeks out of date.
Graham Sutherland went to his local Morrisons in Lindsayfield, East Kilbride - the first time he had been out in 10 days.
But after taking a sip of the vanilla drink last week he realised something wasn't right.
"I purchased various items in my weekly shop, the first time I had been out in 10 days due to catching the COVID virus," Graham told Lanarkshire Live.
"I bought a vanilla milk drink, which I took a drink out of in my car after I bought it but sensing a peculiar taste I looked at the sell by date which was stamped 21-5-21 - just over five weeks out of date.

"After bringing it to their attention they apologised and returned my £2.10, but no goodwill gesture.
"So I contacted Morrisons complaints department who apologised and said they would mention to staff and tighten up procedures.
"But that was it - I would understand if it was a few days out of date, but it was five weeks.
"I was weak from COVID and it was my first day out. I am so angry."
He added: "I am just getting back on my feet after the virus and a product could be overlooked, I get that.
"But for five weeks, that's well out of order."
A spokeswoman for Morrisons said: "We apologise to Mr Sutherland and are fully investigating what happened here with the store."
