Furious Scots pub punters dub thief ‘wee mink’ after stealing Banksy print from disabled loo

An opportunistic thief who stole a Banksy print from the wall of a Scots pub toilet has been branded a ‘wee mink’ by furious punters.

Staff at the Duchess of Kirkcaldy bar and restaurant noticed the unusual theft on Saturday afternoon sparking an appeal for the artwork’s return.

They shared an image of the empty black frame hanging on the wall of the disabled loo on the venue’s Facebook page.

The Duchess of Kirkcaldy issued a social media appeal (Facebook)

They wrote: “One picture frame missing a Banksy print in our accessible loo. What kind of human steals a print from a frame? Please return.”

Regulars were quick to condemn the gallus thief and questioned the thought process behind nabbing the replica painting.

One wrote: “Just think about all the ‘nasties’ that will carry though. They are carrying around hunners of body fluids. Wee minks.

“You have the place looking great, I used that loo just last weekend.”

A second said: “A***holery and b**baggery of gargantuan proportions.”

A third posted: “Ooft mink level 834.”

While a fourth said: “Same type of person that steals toilet rolls.”

Another added: “Disgusting. Why?”

While a different punter questioned: “Mibby never had any bog roll?”
