Furious Pep Guardiola shouts at John Stones and slams seat in fit of rage

Pep Guardiola slammed a seat and shouted at John Stones in a sudden fit of rage during Manchester City's Champions League clash with Atalanta.

BT Sport cameras captured the Citizens boss heading to the substitutes bench in the Etihad dugout after summer signing Rodri went down with an injury on Tuesday.

It appears that Guardiola was unhappy that Stones hadn't read the situation that he made be called upon if Rodri had to make way with an injury.

And made his frustration known by slapping a chair in rage while shouting at Stones.

As things transpired Rodri did need to come off and the England international centre-back, who has himself recently been out with an injury, came on in his place.

Manchester City went behind in their Champions League group game on Tuesday.

Atlanta midfielder Ruslan Malinovskiy found the back of the net from the penalty spot following a Fernandinho foul.

But Sergio Aguero led the Citizens comeback, equalising with a header before putting City ahead from the penalty spot after Raheem Sterling was upended in the box.

Guardiola biggest concern of the first half will be the injury sustained by Rodri.

The £62.8million signing appeared to injure his hamstring as he attempted to make a tackle.
