Furious parents claim a Paisley school uniform shop has left them high and dry just days before schools are due to return.
Set Schoolwear on Broomlands Street has been accused of not fulfilling dozens of orders for branded school uniform including blazers, polo shirts, jumpers and dresses.
PAISLEY DAILY EXPRESS: Live news as it happens
Renfrewshire schoolkids are set to return to the classroom on Monday.
The shop has taken down its Facebook page and parents complained repeated calls to the shop have gone unanswered.
An angry post on Facebook attracted more than 450 comments from irate parents - with many claiming it's not the first time the shop has let them down.
It reads: "Warning to any parents who have used Schoolwear Scotland Ltd in Paisley. They are taking orders and money and not able to supply the goods! They have left parents at the last minute without any uniforms and have shut down their Facebook page and are not answering phones! Absolutely disgraceful to do that to parents
"If you have ordered from them and are hoping to have your uniforms this week please don't expect this - it won't happen!"
One reply reads: "I don’t know how they are still open, I had an issue with them a few years back with nursery uniform and at the time it was just terrible reviews and similar issues - not sure how they are still getting away with it!"
One parent said: "I placed my order at the beginning of July thinking I had plenty of time.
"I started to get worried after a couple of weeks that I hadn't had a dispatch notice so I emailed them and they replied saying the full order would be with me well before school starts.
"I then heard nothing from them and they didn't respond to any of my emails. I had to go into the shop to get a refund as they didn't have anything I ordered in stock."
Manager Haseeb Ahmed said he has been let down by suppliers and claimed he isn't the only schoolwear shop affected.
He said: "All we have done is we have been let down by our suppliers. We're working as hard as we can.
"Every school shop has had problems. I'm not the only one in this predicament.
"We have a full refund policy. If anybody has purchased goods and not got them on time we will give them a full refund.
"I don't have time to answer emails or the phone, we are very short-staffed. I've been working till 1am.
"We have thousand of parents who haven't complained, there are only about five per cent we have got into trouble with."
Mr Ahmed said he took the Facebook page down after being contacted by a journalist. He said any parents who want a refund should contact them by emailing, phoning or going into the shop.
