Furious Nottingham Forest fans have blasted back at former boss Steve McClaren after he claimed Sabri Lamouchi's side only know 'one way' to win.
McClaren, who had a spell in charge at the City Ground for all of ten matches in 2011, told Sky Sports News on Wednesday that Sabri Lamouchi's side are one-dimensional in their setup.
The former Derby County manager remarked that Leeds United and West Bromwich Albion - the two sides at the top of the Championship with a five-point buffer to Fulham in third and six to the Reds in fifth - can play football and grind out results.
Forest are challenging for promotion back to the Premier League and Lamouchi has them playing an effective style that has been rewarding this season, with the team's latest win coming at Cardiff City on Tuesday night: a 1-0 success in south Wales.
McClaren, though isn't convinced.
“That worries me a bit little bit because that’s kind of all Forest are,” he said.
“I think they are more than that, they can play more football. The likes of West Brom, Leeds can do both.
“They can keep possession, but also cannot keep possession, defend and also in transition. They have got everything, but Forest are a bit one way to win, and they are doing it very well, they are getting results.”
And Forest fans do not agree at all with the former England boss.
