Furious mum blasts commuters for lack of 'human decency' for not offering son seat

A furious mum has blasted commuters over their lack of 'human decency' for not offering her son a seat. Kelly was unhappy with 'oblivious' passengers who made her child sit on the floor during their train trip, reports the Mirror.

She took to social media to vent her frustrations posting a video to showcase her experience on a Southern Rail train in London. The footage shows the youngster sitting down in the aisle of the priority seating area, while other passengers remained in their seats.

In the TikTok clip, Kelly said: "All these people watching my baby sit on the floor in [the] priority seats area! Oblivious."

In the video, Kelly can be seen pointing her camera all over the train carriage, highlighting her point. The clip has since gone viral on the social media platform garnering over 19.4k likes at the time of writing.

In the comments, people were quick to share their thoughts on the transport trouble that the mother experienced. Many social media users agreed that adults shouldn't have to stand for a child.

One person said: "To be honest, I'd be fuming if I got on a busy train after a long day at work and a small child was taking up a seat."

Another added: "I'm heavily pregnant and I'd watch a child sit on the floor too. My kids move for an elderly person, it's called respect."

A third argued: "Quite right too. The adults should have the seats. Small kid is just fine where he is."

According to the Southern Rail website: "Seats that are prioritised for people who are less able to walk or stand are clearly labelled in each carriage and are usually close to the exit doors. Passengers should give up priority seats if someone in need asks them."
