Furious mob chant 'beast out' as blind Scots paedophile carted out home by police

Police removed a blind paedophile from a property in East Kilbride after a vigilante mob gathered chanting 'get the beast out now'.

Officers were called to the street at 6pm on Monday night after a crowd had gathered demanding convicted pervert Guy Kibblewhite leave the area. The 58-year-old admitted to having hundreds of child sex abuse images on his phone and used a voice activation device to help him decipher them at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Friday last week.

He was caught when a delivery driver spotted a picture of a naked boy on his phone. He was placed on the sex offenders' register and bailed after sentencing was deferred.

Footage taken from the scene last night shows police entering a property as protesters chant 'leave the area'.

A police officer addresses the crowd to confirm a man is being removed and asks the group to step back. Shortly after, another two police cars arrive and a man, understood to be Kibblewhite, is escorted outside with his head covered into a police car.

The crowd chant 'don't come back beast' as officers place the man into their car.

He was taken away from the area and no arrests were made. The video footage ends with the mob dispersing as the police vehicle leaves the street.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to concerns for a person at a property on Louis Braille Crescent, East Kilbride at around 6pm on Monday, 22 August, 2022.

“A 58-year-old man was traced and escorted from the property.”
