Lorraine Kelly furiously lashed out at government scientist for "undermining" lockdown, branding him "arrogant".
Prof Neil Ferguson resigned from his role as a government adviser after admitting that he had broken his own lockdown rules.
It was reported by The Telegraph that Prof Ferguson, who advised the prime minister on the UK lockdown, was visited by a woman he was in a relationship with during lockdown.
Addressing the controversy on Good Morning Britain today, Lorraine said: "I'll be honest, I don't care who he sleeps with, it bothers me not a jot. He can do whatever he likes.

"But no - not when he's telling the rest of us! Not when the rest of us haven't seen our family and friends and we're all suffering.
"It's so arrogant! It's so arrogant! What was he thinking?!"
Dr Hilary Jones replied: "Who knows? The shame is that he's a good scientist, he's a great epidemiologist.

"I was doing some rough sums in my head before we had lockdown and I was thinking, 'Yes, that's right. We could lose literally half a million people if we don't put some measures in place.' And he came up with the same sort of figures... could have come in a bit earlier, if anything.
"It's just such a shame to see anyone in that sort of position, knowing what the logic is, knowing that no one can be any different to anybody else, saying that he's made an error of judgement.
"There was no judgement - he knew what the consequences would be, unfortunately. And the messages it sends out to everybody else is that you don't need to follow it."
Lorraine exclaimed: "Exactly! If that stops one person from obeying the rules and somebody says, 'Well I haven't seen the person I love for ages, I'd quite like a cuddle or more than that, I'm going to do that because of him' then that's outrageous."
She added: "It's an absolute disgrace!"
