Furious KFC customer threatens to stab worker who won't serve her without a mask

Shocking footage captures a furious KFC customer scream and shout at staff members - after she's refused service for not wearing a face mask.

The foul-mouthed customer leaps onto the counter to abuse staff at the restaurant before even threatening to "stab" them.

Other diners watch in horror as the woman continues to demand "mash potatoes and chicken", before storming out of the busy eatery in a rage.

Leah Chastain, who filmed the showdown, said: "The lady did not have a mask and was coughing around the restaurant.

"She walked up to the front after asking a gentleman for money.

"He gave it to her and she wanted to order food but they would not serve her.

"Everybody was just in amazement and an elderly couple began calling the cops."

The incident took place at the eatery in Fresno, California, where the woman was refused her mashed potatoes and gravy.

The woman flies into a profanity-laden tirade, raging at the prospect of going without her food.

In the clip the woman, dressed in short shorts, boots and carrying a pink bag, screams "I'm f***ing hungry!"

Before demanding that staff "give me something to eat! Now!"

One of the employee's on the receiving end of her rage replies that they cannot serve her or they will "get fired".

KFC's store policy states customers will not be served if they are not wearing face coverings.

The fried food fan bizarrely yells at one staff member that they "don't even work here."

This despite the fact the worker is wearing a KFC uniform and standing at the till.

The worker is told he is "full of nasty s**t" as he tells her "you need to wear a mask".

"Call the cops" she screams, as she puts the boot into the sign, sending it flying.

"I'm sorry, I need you to get off the counter", the polite worker replies, keeping his calm.

Another customer says to the woman "I have a mask in the car if you want" as she storms off, but she appears to react negatively to this suggestion, shouting something unintelligible.

She cries out that the restaurant is "disgusting" but eventually gives up and walks off.

The staff member sends her off with a cheery "have a good day".

Leah wrote on TikTok that the woman told a staff member "she wanted some mashed potatoes and gravy or he was going to get stabbed."
