Furious ITV Dancing On Ice fans fear show will be 'boring' following skate-off 'injustice'

Furious ITV Dancing On Ice fans fear show will be 'boring' following skate-off 'injustice'

Dancing On Ice fans are worried the show will be on the dull side following the latest elimination.

The 'greatest show on ice' was back on-screens on Sunday night and it was all about the jazz hands as the stars took on Musicals Week.

There was also a major change to the judging panel as Dame Arlene Phillips joined Ashley Banjo, Oti Mabuse, Jayne Torvill, and Christopher Dean to cast her verdict on the latest performances.

After a sparkling night at the theatre, it was time for the dreaded skate-off.

Happy Monday’s star Bez faced Coronation Street star Sally Dynevor as the pair performed again in a bid to make it through to week six in the ITV skating competition.

But it was the maraca-shaking dancer and his professional partner Angela Egan who were unanimously eliminated from the show after performing to Happy Monday’ hit Step On.

The 57-year-old found himself in the skate-off after adding "one too many distractions" in his musicals week routine to Bat Out Of Hell, honouring the late Meat Loaf.

During the live show, he came out onto the ice on a motorbike, played an electric guitar solo alongside fire blowers and left the ice on a bat which was anchored into the air.

As the final result was revealed, host Holly Willoughby said they have loved watching him each week, adding: "You have been a favourite in my household."

And fans think the show won't be the same without Bez.

"Going to be so boring without @bezmondays he made me smile every week, pure entertainment," @mackenzie_julie said.

@BrandonJT79 commented: "Won't be watching #DancingOnIce now that Bez is gone! All the professional dancers like Brendan Cole are very boring!!!"

"Absolutely devastated that Bez from Happy Mondays has been voted off Dancing On Ice! No point in watching the rest now! #DancingOnIce," @thebrikachu93 tweeted.

And it's fair to say many Dancing On Ice viewers were furious with the result of the skate-off.

@PeterJo85602495 fumed: "#DancingOnIce what a disgrace Bez going. He skated more on his own than Sally. Props week she can go in a pram she's being carried by Matt literally!!!."

"How can you save Sally and Matt she only managed to skate because she didn’t let go of Matt Bez skated on his own much better very poor decision by the judges, anyone can do what sally did if the professional does it all ridiculous #dancingonice," @SelinaWatson7 tweeted.

@earlybird70 said: "#DancingOnIce Now don't get me wrong I love Sally Dynevor, but how can Bez be voted out when he has skated more on his own tonight than Sally has done all series.. Just saying."

"WTF,.. Sally didn't skate once on her own, Bez done the majority of his skating solo since week one..wrong decision, injustice if I've ever seen it.. #dancingonice," @paulveness1974 commented.

Sally had received her lowest score to date performing My Favourite Things from The Sound Of Music and was told to "have guts and push yourself" by Dame Arlene.

Meanwhile, Strictly Come Dancing professional Brendan Cole, 45, scored the first 10 of the series from Dame Arlene following his performance with replacement skating partner Brendyn Hatfield.
