A video has emerged of a furious exchange between two women at a Gender Recognition Act protest in Edinburgh.
It is understood that the footage was filmed during a gathering outside the Scottish Parliament on Thursday (September 2) which was organised by the For Women Scotland group, using the slogan 'Women Won't Wheesht'.

Hundreds of demonstrators gathered at Holyrood to protest against plans to reform a gender recognition law, but they were met with a counter-demo from trans rights campaigners on the other side of the pool outside the parliament.
In footage shot at the event, a local opposed to the protest - who is understood to identify as a transgender woman - is heard chanting the word ‘witch’ at the protesters before another woman is heard responding: “You are not one of us.”
At one point in the video, the furious woman screams 'witch' in the face of a protester, before police can be seen standing between the protest and the counter-demo.
The video was shared on Twitter by Tory MSP for Mid-Scotland & Fife Murdo Fraser, who said: “Much as I am interested in the 17th century, it’s still pretty disturbing to see aspects of that time resurfacing today, outside.”

A description of the gathering written by organisers read: “Stop the Scottish Government giving our name away! Woman = adult human female. Say NO to self-ID of sex. #WarOnWomen #WomenWontWheesht
“They want to voice their opposition to the GRA (Gender Recognition Act) reform and Hate Crime Bill which they say are "eroding women in our society".
The reform mentioned would make it quicker for people to obtain a gender recognition certificate.

Placards held up by protesters read: "no to self-ID" and "women's rights are not hateful"
Another read: "woman is not a costume".
