A horse pulling a cart was reportedly injured after a driver angrily reversed into it.
Witnesses said the animal had been pulling a child in a cart attached to its rear at the time of the incident at around 10.45am in Greenwood Avenue, Hull, on Wednesday morning, when a silver Jeep abruptly reversed into it without warning having just overtaken it.
The car was seen emitting a great deal of smoke before it crashed into the animal, prompting a panicked response from the people walking on either side of the horse who could be heard shouting: "It could have died."
An eyewitness's daughter uploaded a post on Facebook with a video from her mother's car dashcam, reports HullLive.
Posting on Wednesday night, she said: "Captured on my mum's dashcam this morning on Greenwood Avenue.
"Any information I will pass on to the lady. Luckily the horse didn’t go out into the traffic and went into a nearby garden and needed to be calmed down after. There was also a child in the cart on the back!"

When questioned about the events leading up to the incident in a comment, the eyewitness's daughter added: "Nothing went on before this footage, the car literally just took over the horse and reacted like this.
"My mum said it was so out of the blue and there was absolutely no reason why they did this."
In a comment on the original post, one person claiming to be the horse's owner's sister said the horse has sustained cuts and bruises as a result of the attack, but is doing alright.
Facebook users were horrified by the video and found the driver's actions 'appalling'. One person said: "Hope the police get hold of this one!"
A second said: "Absolutely disgusting, how can people be so vile? Hope they get caught and I hope the horse and the owner is okay."
A third added: "Why did they do it? What was the point? Car is dodgy smoking like that too."
