Furious walker leaves dog mess rant message at popular site

An angry walker has slammed insensitive dog owners who refuse to put their pets' mess in the bins at Auchenshuggle Wood near Cambuslang.

The unknown complainant has clearly had enough of encountering bags of dog poo hanging on trees and fenceposts during visits to the site, and has taken to pointing this out with an amusing but hard-hitting message.

A poster declaring: "There is no such thing as the jobby fairy", has been tied on a tree next to two disgusting bags of dog faeces over the weekend.

The person responsible for creating the poster starts off by asking: "Santa Claus? Yep", followed by "Tooth Fairy, Yep, "Jobby Fairy? NOPE!"

It continues: "There is no such thing as a jobby fairy, or a jobby collecter or a jobby tree.

"Put your jobby in the bin."

A picture of the sign was posted to social media this week with dozens of people approving of the angry walker's point.

One dog owner posted: "I can’t tell you how many poops bags in bushes and trees we walk past in the evening while walking our own dogs.

"What’s worse is because we are out all the time and people see us, we sometimes get the blame and we end up having to pick up other people’s dogs poop to keep people happy!

"It’s not on and picking up stone cold poo is way worse than picking up a warm one! If you know, you know!"

Another fan of the sign simply said: "Brilliant," while someone else posted: "Ha ha excellent."

Meanwhile, members of the public are being encouraged to join in a combined Winter Litter Pick, organised by both North and South Lanarkshire Council litter pickers groups, at Stratchclyde Country Park in Motherwell on Saturday, February 26 at 11am.

The meeting point will be the large car park next to the Foreshore Play Park on the north-east bank of the Loch and bags will be provided but people are asked to bring their own litter pick tongs and gloves.
