A bus driver took a swing at a motorist after the bus ripped the driver's van door off its hinges as road rage took hold.
A passerby caught the confrontation on camera as the driver of the number 56 bus, which normally travels between Whipps Cross and St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London, got up from his seat.
The driver of the van, which is now missing its door, approaches the bus but the driver appears to throws a punch towards him.
Bystanders who witnessed the incident rush to the man’s defence and scold the bus driver for colliding with the van and ripping off its door.
The bus driver tries to justify taking the man’s car door off its hinges shouting: “I told him three times to move!”
A road argument ensues between the bus driver and other motorists as the incident brings the traffic on the road to a standstill.
A Transport for London spokeswoman said: “We take a zero-tolerance approach to violence and aggression on our network and are urgently investigating this with the operator, Stagecoach.”
