FURIA’s female CS2 roster, FURIA fe, has switched to VALORANT, marking a historic transition as the first full team to switch games while maintaining its existing structure.
The roster will now compete in Riot Games’ VCT Game Changers circuit, giving the players a new competitive path and greater opportunities for visibility.

With the love for competition and an insatiable desire to win, the Panther will explore yet another scene, with the same claw as always!” the South American esports organization said in its announcement.

FURIA’s female CS2 roster spent six years competing under the org and established itself as one of the most successful teams in the South American women’s scene. The lineup won several regional titles and reached three ESL Impact League Finals before finally claiming the championship in Season 7 at DreamHack Dallas last May 2025.
The ESL Impact circuit, however, was placed on indefinite hold at the end of 2025, saying that the economic model that time was not sustainable. Several organizations subsequently parted ways with their women’s CS2 rosters, leaving fewer opportunities for teams to compete at the highest level.

FURIA fe’s switch to VALORANT is thus not surprising after all. The VCT Game Changers, Riot’s competitive circuit for women and marginalized genders in the VALORANT esports ecosystem, could provide a more sustainable competitive environment following the decline of the women’s CS2 circuit.
FURIA CS2 legend Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo reacted to the development, expressing disappointment at the state of the Counter-Strike female pro scene while acknowledging the importance of the org’s decision.
“It’s a sad snapshot of the failure/lack of interest from both us viewers and Valve/tournaments in making an effort to find alternatives so that the ecosystem could function,” FalleN said, noting that FURIA’s female players are moving to a “more vibrant scene” in VALORANT.

“On the other hand, it’s great that there’s another game where they can keep competing with even higher quality. I think it’s a great story and, to be totally honest, I’m curious to see how they’ll fare against the girls who’ve been playing for a long time,” FalleN added.
While FURIA fe is leaving CS2, the players will now have the chance to establish themselves in VALORANT without sacrificing the structure and chemistry they built together. The challenge now is for the squad to quickly adapt to a new FPS and compete against teams with years of experience in the VCT Game Changers scene.
