The Memewhile in Newcastle Facebook page had a big response to this post.
The post states [we urge you to read this slowly and clearly]: "When the time comes, I 100 per cent support mandatory vacations for everyone. If anyone refuses, they should be forced."
The post received responses like: "We live in a free country", "free will", "hell no" and the fact that people had vaccinations for diseases like polio when they were kids.
One post said: "One by one we lose our very basic freedoms. Anyone supporting this post is only furthering this liberal/socialist agenda. I have had enough of the leftist BS."
Another post said: "I don't support mandatory vaccines, although I do believe they can save lives."
Another said: "No need to forcibly inject people. Just require proof of vaccination to fly commercially, enroll in school, attend a sports arena."
The page operator told Topics: "It's surprising how many people are against taking a holiday."
While some folks were giving strong opinions about vaccinations in the comments section, others spotted the joke.
Lydia Beetz quipped: "I will NOT be forced to take a vacation! If me and my family choose to be stressed and burned out by gawd we will be!".
Another response said that if people "don't want to put their body on a beach that just makes more room for me".
Casey Van Arsdale summed things up nicely, saying: "All of you that misread it as vaccination instead of vacation obviously need to take a vacation to mellow out from freaking out about every little thing".
Eric the Emu

Could an emu ever win an election?
Well, emus are a national icon. There's one on our coat of arms, along with a kangaroo. So an emu could have a pretty decent chance.
We reported in Wednesday's column that Eric the emu was attracting a lot of attention on Nelson Bay Road for hanging out in flood waters.
There was plenty of discussion on social media about Eric's situation, with dozens of people calling wildlife rescuers.
Port Stephens MP Kate Washington assured people that Eric was OK. The discussion soon turned to whether Eric might consider a political career.
Kate told Topics that she "wouldn't ever want to run against Eric the emu".
"He's so popular in my family, I reckon they'd even vote for him," she said.
Topics: "You wouldn't want to run against him in a political race or a running race!"
Kate: "Clearly both."
King Prawn Peeler
Will you be crowned Newcastle's King Prawn? If you're skilled at peeling prawns, you might have a chance.
First you'll have to enter the Newcastle Seafood Festival Prawn Peeling Competition on April 10 and 11.
