Funko Pop! releases limited edition Jason Kelce figurine supporting charity

Jason Kelce celebration immortalized with Funko Pop! figurine

In an unexpected move, Jason Kelce's iconic celebration during the Philadelphia Eagles' playoff game against the Buffalo Bills has been immortalized in the form of a Funko Pop! figurine. This 4-inch-tall toy figure captures the shirtless Eagles center as he emerged from a luxury suite to celebrate a touchdown by his brother Travis Kelce, who plays as a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Funko Pop! Jason Kelce (Shirtless) with Premium Pop! Protector figurine is now available for a limited time on the Funko website. Priced at $25, fans have just 72 hours to place their orders before the sale ends on February 5th. This unique collectible has garnered significant attention, as more than 40,000 people have already liked the initial drawing of the possible figurine shared by Funko on social media.

The collaboration between Jason Kelce and Funko Pop! began with the creation of a T-shirt for their podcast, 'New Heights.' The shirt also has a charitable aspect, aligning with the philanthropic values of both Jason and Travis Kelce. The funds raised from the sale of the Funko Pop! Jason Kelce figurine will be donated to the Patricia Allen Fund at the Oishei Children’s Hospital in Buffalo. This fund, created by Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and his family, supports the hospital's Patricia Allen Pediatric Recovery Wing.

Kelce's celebration at the Chiefs-Bills playoff game is already considered culturally significant, inspiring artists and sports enthusiasts alike. Social media accounts, such as Art But Make It Sports, drew comparisons to historical artworks like 'The Feast of Bacchus,' highlighting the impact and spectacle of Kelce's joyous display.

Samantha Wojciechowicz, a Canadian artist and avid sports fan, even painted her own depiction of Kelce's celebration. Born with a rare genetic disorder, Wojciechowicz used a football to create the image, showcasing her unique artistic approach. Previously, she had painted a portrait of the Kelce brothers, further solidifying their cultural significance.

Interestingly, Funko Pop! previously immortalized Travis Kelce with his own figurines, which quickly sold out but can still be found on reselling platforms such as eBay. Additionally, last year's Little People Collector Line featured a Super Bowl LVII Champions set, including figurines of Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Chris Jones, and a Chiefs super fan. Fisher-Price intends to release another Super Bowl-themed set, this time featuring three NFL players from either the Chiefs or the San Francisco 49ers, along with a dedicated super fan.

As we await the outcome of Super Bowl 58, it remains to be seen if Jason Kelce's on-field antics will result in another moment that captures the imagination of fans and ultimately receives its own figurine. Regardless, his celebration has already left an indelible mark on football culture, and the Funko Pop! Jason Kelce figurine serves as a lasting tribute to this unforgettable event.
