Details of the funeral of comedian Bobby Ball have been announced.
Oldham-born Bobby died last week at the age of 76.
Real name Robert Harper and formerly a welder, he went on to become one of the country's biggest TV stars was one half one half of comedy double act Cannon & Ball alongside his pal Tommy Cannon.
He also appeared in TV series including Last Of The Summer Wine, Heartbeat, Mount Pleasant, Benidorm, The Cockfields and Not Going Out, and the duo appeared on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2005.
He died at Blackpool Victoria Hospital's Royal Hospital last Wednesday after testing positive for Covid-19 his manager confirmed.
His family have now confirmed his funeral will be held on Tuesday November 17 in his adopted hometown of who lived in Lytham St Annes in Lancashire.
Due to the current restrictions, the service will be for invited guests only.
However the family has released details of the procession route for those who may want to pay their respects. They have asked that social distancing is maintained at all times.
The cortege will begin at 11:40am and will take a route from Lowther Gardens, onto Church Road, Market Square, Clifton Street and then to end of Warton Street where it will arrive ahead of the service at 12 noon.
It will leave the church around 1pm and travel down East Beach and then Central and West Beach, pausing at the Lowther Gardens/Pavillion before heading along Clifton Drive and the Inner Promendade.
From there at around 1:35pm it will travel to and pause at Blackpool Tower before making its way to the crematorium for a private committal.
The country will by that date be under new national restrictions, set to come into force on Thursday, November 5, with the government stating people should only travel if is essential.
The family say flowers are welcome or donations can be made to two charities of which Bobby was a patron - the Blue Skies Hospital Fund or the Lowther Paviliion.
These can be made via Horsefield and Family Funeral Directors in Lytham.
Bobby's sons said following his death that they had been “overwhelmed” by the tributes to their father since his death and added “we can never fill his shoes."
Son Darren He said he will remember his father just as how he seemed on TV, saying he was “like a cartoon”, while his other son Rob said he was “completely full of mischief”.
His stage partner Tommy said: "Rock on, my good friend, I can’t believe this, I’m devastated.”
