A number of staff at a Falkirk area Co-op Funeral parlour are self-isolating after attending a Christmas party.
Thirteen people are understood to be currently off work after an Undertaker tested positive following the event last weekend.
However, bosses claim that their funeral homes are "running normally".
A source said: "This is shocking, imagine going ahead with your Christmas swaray just days after Nicola Sturgeon told us not to.
"This raises serious questions within Co-op Funeralcare, and will be interesting to see if they were directed by senior management not to attend such events.
"Professionals like them should know better, I'm glad I'm not part of that team anymore because I'd imagine bosses will be wanting answers. And answers quickly.
"How can a funeral home run normally when 13 staff members are off - clearly they're not going to admit otherwise."
A Co-Op Funeralcare spokesperson said: "Our funeral homes are running normally and our primary concern is supporting bereaved families during difficult times.
"Colleagues routinely self-isolate if they experience symptoms.
"Co-op Funeralcare has rigorously followed all guidelines and requirements since the outbreak of the pandemic and continues to do so."
