Funeral details for a tragic retired priest who died in a hit-and-run crash have announced.
Father Michael Guckian, 81, was visiting Keadue, Co Roscommon when he was struck by a car at 11pm on Friday night.
The former cleric was from Drumboylan in Roscommon but lived with the Oblate Order in Inchicore in Dublin.
He spent 30 years working abroad in the Philippines also.
A spokesman for the Order confirmed to Dublin Live that Fr Guckian had died, describing him as a "lovely man".
A funeral notice on RIP.ie reads: "Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Mai, sisters Freda (Sr.Agnes) and Maisie Smith, brother Eugene.
"Deeply regretted by his loving brothers John (Drumboylan) and Thomas (Junie) (Leitrim village), sister Agnes Taylor (Knockvicar and formerly Leixlip), sister-in-law Catherine, brother-in-law Mike, nephews, nieces, grand- nephews, grand- nieces.
"Sadly missed by the Oblate Community, staff and parishioners of Mary Immaculate, Inchicore and a wide circle of relatives and friends."
A wake for Father Guckian will take place tomorrow evening, May 15m at the home of his nephew Gerard Guckian (Drumboylan) from 1pm until 5pm, with removal to St. Patrick's Church, Drumboylan, arriving at 7pm.

A Requiem Mass will be held on Thursday May 16 at 12pm with burial afterwards in Kiltoghert Cemetery.
Mass will be offered at 7pm on Friday, May 17, in the Oblate Church of Mary Immaculate, Inchicore.
