Funeral details for tragic Donegal woman Kathleen Pryal, 69, who died in road accident announced

A tragic Irishwoman who died after being struck by a car will be laid to rest in her native county tomorrow.

Kathleen Pryal, (nee Harvey) 69, passed away after being hit by a car on Sunday night.

Mrs Pryal was a huge fan of country music and was returning from a country music event at the time.

She had just got off a bus at Tinnycahill, Clar, near Donegal Town around 8pm when the tragic accident happened.

A wake was held at her home in Tinnycahill yesterday evening and her funeral will take place on Wednesday.

A funeral notice on RIP.ie reads: "Removal from her residence on Wednesday to St Agatha's Church, Clar at 10:30am for 11am Mass with burial immediately afterwards in adjoining cemetery."

Mr Pryal's husband Martin is being comforted by family and friends.

A neighbour of Ms Pryal's said "Kathleen was the kindest person. She lived for country music.

"She was a quiet person and herself and her husband Martin are the nicest people. It's all just very sad and everyone is shocked by what has happened."

Gardai are appealing for anybody who was in the area at the time and who may have dashcam footage to get in touch.
