Funeral details have been announced for Irish Times journalist Kate Holmquist following her tragic death.
Ms Holmquist, 62, who was a native of Baltimore in the US but had been living in Ireland for years, went missing from her home in Sandycove last Saturday, August 3.
A search was stood down after a body was found at Dollymount Strand on Tuesday morning.
Gardai say the mother of three's death is being treated as a personal tragedy.
A death notice on RIP.ie reads: "Deeply mourned and sadly missed by her loving family, husband Ferdia, children Sienna, Bessa and Finn, father Ivar, brothers Steve and Mark, son-in-law Ciarán, sisters-in-law Fiona and Sarah, nieces Lara, Ingrid and Emma, godson Jack and by her extended family, friends and colleagues."
A wake will be held at Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue in, Bray on Thursday evening, August 8, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm with prayers at 8pm.
Funeralgoers are advised that due to roadworks, access to the funeral home can only be made from Ferndale Road, travelling south from Dublin and from the M11 travelling north at Junction 5.
A service to celebrate Ms Holmquist's life life will take place on Friday at 11am in St. Paul’s Church, Silchester Road, Glenageary, Co. Dublin, followed by cremation at Mount Jerome, Harold's Cross, Dublin 6W.
Kate’s family request that bright colours be worn and that everyone attending bring along a single flower in her memory.
