Funeral details for a dad-of-two who died after a car crash this week have been announced.

Dean Coleman, from Drimnagh in Dublin and late of Newbridge, Co Kildare was killed when the car he was in crashed into a lamppost on Butterfield Avenue in Templeogue, Dublin at 1.30am on Tuesday morning, December 17.

Tallaght mother Annmarie Hooper was also killed in the incident, which is now being investigated by the Garda Ombudsman (GSOC).

The funeral details for Dean have been released and a death notice on RIP.ie reads: "Coleman, Dean, 17th December 2019 (Newbridge and late of Drimnagh) (suddenly) beloved son of George and Linda, loving brother of Tara and Lindsay and much loved daddy of Lennox and Lacie-Rae; sadly missed by his loving parents, sisters, children, girlfriend Lauren, nieces Abbie, Kacey and Jorgie, grand-dad Smith, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

"Reposing at The Brian McElroy Funeral Home, Crumlin Village on Sunday from 2pm to 4pm. Funeral Mass on Monday at 11:30am in Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel, Mourne Road followed by burial in Newlands Cross Cemetery."

Rathfarnham Templeogue Fine Gael Councillor David McManus said that the incident deeply saddened the whole community.

He told Dublin Live at the time: "Local people are shocked to be waking up to this tragedy on our roads.

"During the festive period, we have more people visiting family and attending events but I would encourage people to be extra cautious on the roads as the temperatures continue to drop in the weeks ahead.

"On behalf of the community, I wish to extend our sympathies to the families of those involved in this morning’s tragic accident."
