A young man who died in a New Year's Day crash will be laid to rest on Thursday.
Ciarán McDonnell sadly lost his life after the car, which he was the sole occupant of, left the R194 road at Clonfin last weekend.
He is survived by his "heartbroken" parents William and Patricia, brothers, sisters, grandparents, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, girlfriend Mandy, relatives and many friends.
According to RIP.IE, Mr McDonnell's funeral will take place at St Mel's Cathedral on Thursday at 11am with burial afterwards in Ballymacormack Cemetery.
His body will lie in Glennon's Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-5pm, with removal to St Mel's Cathedral arriving at 5.30pm.
Mr McDonnell was one of six killed on the roads over the New Year's weekend.
The night before, Saoirse Corrigan and Shane Gilchrist, both from Castlepollard in Westmeath, were killed in a two-car collision in Kells, Meath.
