A young man who was tragically killed in a car crash last week will laid to rest in his native county.
Jonathan Healy, 24, from Creagh Avenue in Kileely in Limerick lost his life in the horrific accident at Quinspool, Co Clare.
Another young man was also killed in the tragedy while two other passengers, including a young boy, were badly injured.
Sources said it appeared that the car hit a steel barrier and a boundary wall of a house before it burst into flames.
The car was discovered on fire, half-way between a grass verge and a residential cul de sac, located off the Parteen to Limerick road, at Quinspool on the Clare/Limerick border.
There was a large hole in a section of a stone wall of a house near where the car was found, and there was debris scattered around the scene.
Emergency services were alerted shortly after midnight, and first responders came upon the grizzly scene soon after.
Jonathan's death notice on RIP.ie reads: "Tragically, following an accident. Very deeply regretted by his loving parents Jackie and Jason, brother Aaron, sister Natasha, grandmothers Doris and Margaret, grandfather Tony, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and large circle of friends."
Jonathan will lie in repose at Cross' Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street on Tuesday from 3.30pm to 5.30pm, with removal afterwards to St. Munchin's Church, Clancy Strand.
A Requiem Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 2, at 11am with funeral afterwards to Ballycannon Cemetery, Meelick.
