Funeral details announced for tragic mum of two Rachael Coughlan and great-grandad John 'Pops' Nulty killed in Drumcondra crash

Both victims of the tragic Drumcondra crash will be laid to rest in Dublin tomorrow.

Rachel Coughlan, 34, and  John 'Pops' Nulty, 72, died in a two-car collision on Drumcondra Road Lower in the early hours of Friday morning.

A funeral mass for mum-of-two Rachael will be held in Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Sean McDermott Street in Dublin at 10am followed by burial afterwards in Glasnevin Cemetery.

While great-grandad John's funeral will be held S.S. Peter and Paul's Church in Balbriggan at 10am followed by burial in Glasnevin Cemetery.

John's funeral notice says: "Pinewood Green Road, Balbriggan, Co Dublin and formerly St. Jarlath Road, Cabra (tragically) following a road traffic accident. Sadly missed by his loving wife Frances, children Catherine, Joan, Maria, Teresa, Paula, John and Jackie, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters Marie and Martina, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends."

A family friend told the Irish Independent: "I was his best friend for years. He's the type of person to give you the moon and the stars and expect nothing in return."

A funeral notice for Rachael on RIP.ie reads: "Sadly missed by her partner Michael, her loving children Lucas and Preston, step-children Bradley, Jade and Michael, her loving parents James and Marguerita, brothers Shane, Ian, Daniel, and James Jnr., sister Sarah, sisters-in-law, nephew Liam, cousins, aunts, uncles, relatives and her many friends."

Tragic Rachel was a mother to two young sons and has been remembered by family and friends on social media.

One touching tribute read: "Shocking. Look over your boys and all your family. Beautiful girl. RIP"

Local councillor Janice Boylan also led tributes and said it was "very sad news" for the north inner city community.

She said: "Very sad and shocking news coming from the north inner city today. RIP Rachel.

"My thoughts and prayers are with your family and friends. And of course RIP to the other man who died in the same collision."

While another person added: "My heart goes out to their families, all my thoughts and prayers were for them. R.I.P."
