Funeral details have been announced for the brother of Gerry "The Monk" Hutch's brother John, who died following a fall in his home on Tuesday afternoon.
John, who had no involvement in crime, was found unresponsive at his home in Drumalee after falling down the stairs.
He was was rushed to the Mater Hospital with what are described as serious injuries at 4.15pm on Tuesday but sadly died yesterday, Dublin Live reports.
His funeral will take place on Tuesday in the Church of the Holy Family, Aughrim Street at 11:30am followed by burial in Glasnevin Cemetery.
A post of RIP.ie reads: "Beloved husband of Vera and loving father of the late Gareth.
"Sadly missed by his wife, son Jonathan, daughters, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchild, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, relatives and a large circle of friends. Rest in Peace."
Gardai are investigating the incident.
A garda spokeswoman said: "Gardaí are investigating the sudden death of a man (late 60s) in relation to an incident that occurred at a house in Drumalee, off North Circular Road, Dublin 7 on the afternoon of Tuesday 16th July, 2019.
"The man was seriously injured and removed to the Mater Hospital where he has since passed away this afternoon, Thursday 18th July, 2019.
"A post mortem will take place which will determine the course of the investigations and a file will be prepared for the Coroners Court."
