Broadcasting legend Gay Byrne's funeral will take place on Friday in the north inner city.
The requiem mass will be held at St Mary's Pro-Cathedral on Marlborough Street in Dublin city centre at 12pm on November 8.
The former Late Late Show host, who spent 37 years at its helm, had been ill for some time and sadly passed away at the age of 85 yesterday.
Gay Byrne is survived by his wife Kathleen, their daughters Crona and Suzy, and their families.
A book of condolence was opened today at the Mansion House in Dublin and will remain open until 5pm on Wednesday.
A special live edition of The Late Late Show will also be broadcast on RTE One at 9.35pm tonight in tribute to Byrne.
Ryan Tubridy will play host for a 90 minute special this evening which will include contributions from Gay’s many friends and colleagues across the world of entertainment and beyond.
