A fundraiser has been launched to open a vegan cat café in Edinburgh.
Animal lover Cheryl Vickers is hoping to raise £10,000 to open a unique café in the capital.
She hopes to open up a vegan café and takeaway selling everything from cakes to milkshakes and Mr Whippy ice cream.
But they will do more than just serve up tea and sweet treats, with the hope of rehoming unwanted moggies.
In appeal for funds, Cheryl said: "I'm planning on opening vegan cat café in Edinburgh. The basics are: it will be a vegan cakery takeaway.
"I will be taking in homeless and unwanted cats to live here until one of you guys want to take one of my friends home - don't worry people, all necessary checks will be in place."

She added that they plan on hiring people who suffer from mental health problems and learning difficulties as a business than promotes "people's wellbeing".

If successful, it will be the second cat café top open in Edinburgh, alongside the award-winning Maison De Moggy - Scotland's first cat cafe on West Port street.
