Fundraiser set up to help Glasgow makeup artist who lost sight battling kidney failure

A fundraiser has been set up for a Glasgow makeup artist who has tragically lost his sight battling kidney failure.

Johnnie Holland, who works for Giorgio Armani in Debenhams in Glasgow city centre, was admitted to Queen Elizabeth University hospital after taking unwell with what was thought to be a trapped nerve.

Yet the 54-year-old then found himself fighting for his life in the hospital after suffering from kidney failure.

And although he is now on the road to recovery, Johnnie has lost all sight in both eyes - rendering him unable to continue doing the job he loves.

Now his friends and colleagues have launched a Just Giving page to help raise funds for Johnnie and his husband to perhaps adapt their house, or to pay for tools and support to help him cope with what has happened to him.

With over £1500 being raised in the past four days.
